Timemore C5 ESP Pro takes the category of manual grinders to the next level once again – compared to its predecessor, it combines larger 42 mm S2C-042-III conical burrs, fine micro-adjustment of grind size, and travel-friendly compactness into a single tool that instantly becomes the heart of your home “coffee bar”. With precise adjustment of 15 microns per click, you can easily dial in espresso to perfection without wasting time counting rotations or fighting inconsistent extraction.

The completely redesigned S2C-042-III conical burrs with a 42 mm diameter (compared to 38 mm on the C3) deliver faster grinding, cleaner flavor, and better separation of sweetness and acidity in the cup. Thanks to the larger burrs, grinding is up to ~19% faster and about 5% more consistent than the previous generation, resulting in a more stable extraction and more pronounced flavor nuances.

The grinder body features a slim 53 mm diameter that fits naturally in the hand, while the foldable ergonomic handle folds neatly along the body after use, making the grinder easy to pack into a backpack, coffee gear bag, or travel case. The all-metal construction made of stainless steel and aluminum gives the grinder a solid, durable feel, and the fine knurling ensures a secure grip even during longer grinding sessions.

The ESP Pro version is engineered with espresso in mind: inside you’ll find a dedicated adjustment dial offering up to 50 clicks, allowing for tiny steps when fine-tuning espresso recipes—from fine espresso grinds to medium grinds for moka pots or V60. Each click represents a change of just 0.015 mm, giving you real control over flow rate and extraction time, even with lighter-roasted beans that are often more demanding on manual grinders.

The top hopper is cleverly widened into a funnel shape, preventing beans from chipping on the edge and allowing you to pour doses in even with one hand. The capacity of both the hopper and the bottom catch cup is approximately 25–30 g of coffee depending on grind size—ideal for a double espresso or a pour-over for two.

Thanks to the foldable handle, high-quality bearings, and efficient burrs, grinding is surprisingly fast and smooth without requiring excessive force—even fine espresso doses can be ground in a reasonable time and without the feeling of “fighting” the grinder.
